THAT leave be granted to introduce By-law No. 67-30, being a by-law to authorize an application to the Ontario Municipal Board to provide for the annexation of part of the Township of Darlington to the Town of Bowmanville, and that the said By-law be now read a first time. THAT the Council of the Township of Darlington be invited to meet with Council to discuss the matters arising out of By-Jaw No. 67-30 and that the Clerk make suitable arrangements convenient to both parties. Be it resolved that the Corporation of the Town of Bowmanville do lease from the Bank of Montreal, a Safety Deposit Box at the said Bank's premises at 14 King St., W., Bowmanville, Ont., and that the Mayor and the Treasurer thereof, be and they are hereby authorized to execute on behalf of the said Corporation a contract for such purposes, upon such terms and conditions, and for such rental as may be agreed upon between the said officers and the said Bank, and the Treasurer, Controller and Deputy Treasurer jointly are hereby authorized to have access to and control of the contents of such Safety Deposit Box; that a certified copy of this resolution be handed to the Bank of Montreal for its guidance and information in the premises, and that the said Corporation undertake that this resolution shall be irrevocable until a resolution abrogating the Same shall have been passed and a duly certified copy thereof delivered to the said Bank at the branch where the said Safety Deposit Box is situated.
