SPECIAL MEETING
February 10, 1968
A special meeting of Council took place in the Town Hall
on the above date at 3:)0 p.m.

Regional
Government
The Mayor reported on a meeting of heads of councils and
others in the City Hall, Oshawa that morning, concerning
regional government. There were three points arising out
of that meeting which required the approval of Council.

Moved by Reeve Oke, seconded by Con. Coombes.
on THAT the holding of a conference on regional government
to which councils of all the participating municipalities
would be invites, the sharing in the cost of the conference
on a per capita basis and the continuance of meetings to
discuss regional government be approved.

Moved by Reeve Oke, seconded by Con. Fry.
THAT Council exervise their option to purchase 18 acres of
serviced industrial land from "Glen Rae" at a cost of
$1,000 per acre.
