Messrs W. Carruthers, R. Hendry and S. Buttery were present with the first
named as spokesman, requesting Council to reconsider the subject of allowing
"farm rebates" pursuant to Section 37 of The Assessment Act. Mr. Carruthers
referred to sewers not benefitting farm lands as well as garbage collection,
which if it was necessary it be charged to residences at least it should not
apply to farm lands. Mr. Robert Hendry felt that farm lands did not benefit
from storm sewers.
