A special meeting of Council was held on the above
date at 7:00 p.m. in the Town Hall.

Moved by Con. Dykstra, seconded by Reeve Oke.
THAT the Works Superintendent be instructed to
extend the culvert ahead of fill on land owned by
the Rotary Club on Simpson Avenue.

Moved by Con. Prout, seconded by Con. Dykstra.
THAT the Clerk be directed to arrange for occupancy
of the new building by departments, with the police
having priority followed by the fire department,
then magistrates' court and allocate necessary
parking.

Mr. Knox and Mr. Robertson of the Ontario Housing
Corporation were present to adVise Council on the
progress of obtaining senior citizen accommodation.

Mr. Knox explained that their engineering staff had
checked the proposals on the basis of construction
and design and recommended the submission by R.
Kassinger Construction of Oshawa.

Moved by Reeve Oke, seconded by Con. Dykstra.
THAT following the receipt of the approval of the
Board of Directors of Ontario Housing Corporation and
the subsequent presentation to Council, the construc-
tion of 14 Senior Citizens Units of rental accommoda-
tion on a geared to income basis in the Town of
Bowmanville by Kaasinger Construction Limited, be
approved.
