Coombes, seconded by Con. Fry. THAT the minutes of the Council Meeting held on June 3, 1968 be approved as printed. "CARRIED" Resolution f~-349 Moved by Con. Shackelton, seconded by Con. Prout. THAT the minutes of the Special Meeting of Council held on June 5, 1968 be approved as printed. "CARRIED" Mr. George Mutton advised Council that he had received four summonses for allegedly Violating the provisions of the by-law regulating dogs. The charges were dis- missed but Mr. Mutton felt that the by-law is not just. Resolution #C-350 Moved by Con. Prout, seconded by Deputy Reeve Rundle. THAT the Clerk-Controller investigate the circumstances arising out of the complaint by Mr. Mutton and report at the next meeting of Council. "CARRIED" Mr. Reg Willatts accompanied by Messrs. THAT correspondence from the Ontario Police Commission with regard to an invitation to view the new Court Building be received and filed. THAT correspondence from the Central Ontario Joint Planning Board with regard to ten acre lots and amend- ments to the Planning Act be received and filed. "CARRIED" Resolution #C-354 Moved by Con. Coombes, seconded by Con. Shackelton. THAT a request from the Central Ontario Joint Planning Board to co-ordinate studies with the Board be agreed to. "CARRIED" Resolution #C-355 Moved by Con. Coombes, seconded by Deputy Reeve Rundle. THAT Whereas the Durham County District High School Board has applied to the Municipal Councils having jurisdiction in the said District for the issue of deben- tures in a firm amount of $995,000. repayable over a period of twenty years to provide for the cost of build- ing and equipping an addition and alterations to Port Hope High School which is to increase the pupil rating from 1160 to 1640 pupils. Be it resolved that the Council of the Corporation of the Town of Bowmanvi11e being a municipality in the said District, hereby approves the said application and agrees to assume its proper proportion of the amounts required to payoff the debentures and interest thereon and expenses connected therewith. Be it further resolved that the Council of the Corporation of the Town of Bowmanvi11e hereby requests the Council of the Corporation of the United Counties of Northumberland and Durham to raise the entire sum of $995,000. required for the purposes aforesaid by the issue of debentures of the Corporation of the United Counties of Northumberland and Durham. Dykstra, seconded by Con. Coombes. THAT suggestions for consideration by a committee studying 1969 County Roads Needs be referred to the Planning Board. "CARRIED" Resolution #C-36l Moved by Con. Harvey be received and filed and that the Clerk-Controller be instructed to reply to Mr. Harvey thanking him for the service he has supplied to Bowmanville and the surround- ing area.
