Minutes of a meeting of Council held in the Court
Building on the above date at 8:00 p.m.

3, 1968 be approved as printed.

THAT the minutes of the Special Meeting of Council
held on June 5, 1968 be approved as printed.

Mr. George Mutton advised Council that he had received
four summonses for allegedly Violating the provisions
of the by-law regulating dogs. The charges were dis-
missed but Mr. Mutton felt that the by-law is not just.

THAT the Clerk-Controller investigate the circumstances
arising out of the complaint by Mr. Mutton and report
at the next meeting of Council.

complained to Council about the unkempt appearance of
Franklin Park.

THAT a request from the Central Ontario Joint Planning
Board to co-ordinate studies with the Board be agreed
to.

THAT Whereas the Durham County District High School
Board has applied to the Municipal Councils having
jurisdiction in the said District for the issue of deben-
tures in a firm amount of $995,000. repayable over a
period of twenty years to provide for the cost of build-
ing and equipping an addition and alterations to Port
Hope High School which is to increase the pupil rating
from 1160 to 1640 pupils.
Be it resolved that the Council of the Corporation of the
Town of Bowmanville being a municipality in the said
District, hereby approves the said application and agrees
to assume its proper proportion of the amounts required
to payoff the debentures and interest thereon and
expenses connected therewith.
Be it further resolved that the Council of the Corporation
of the Town of Bowmanville hereby requests the Council

by the Department of Highways, Council rename Liberty
Street from the south limit of Base Line Road to its
southerly end, Flying Dutchman Drive and any cost involved
in such action to be borne by the owners of the Flying
Dutchman Motor Inn.
