THAT the minul:es of a Special Council meeting dated August 18th, 1969, be approved as amended by substil:uting the word "Controller" for the word "Administrator" to arrive at unity in Council. THAT the Clerk investigate the names on a pel:ition for sanitary sewers to check the validity of signatures and determine ratio of petil:ioners 1:0 all properl:y owners abutting the sanitary sewers. THAT the Clerk investigate the names on a petition for a watermain on Martin Road South to check the validity of signatures and determine the ratio of petitioners 1:0 all property owners abutting the requested watermain. "CARRIED" Mr. Tillcock of Chapel Street addressed Council on the flooding of his property and expressed a need for storm sewers. Resolution #C-460 Moved by Con. Shackelton, seconded by Con. Cooke. THAT a committee of three be appointed to investigate the flooding of Mr. Tillcock's property and report back to Council. "CARRIED" The Mayor appointed Con. McKnight, Cooke and Shackelton. Mr. Paul Rousell of the O.W.R.C. reported to Council on sewage discharge from the sewage treatment plant. He stated I:hat a lel:ter wil:h recommendations is forthcoming. A youth band, Don Allin, requested Council's assistance in finding suitable accommodations for their band practices. Resolution #C-46l Moved by Con. Dyksl:ra, seconded by .Con. Shackelton. THAT a committee of three be appointed to study, in conjunction with the Recreation Director, the problem of finding suitable accommodal:ion for band practices. THAT I:he Don Allin Band be allowed 1:0 use the Town Hall facilities for band pracl:ices during September. It was understood that Councillor Cooke assume responsibility for lock up of Town Hall. Redfern continue to make regular inspections of consl:ructions at Waverley Gardens and that a T.V. inspection be made on sanitary sewers at the end of one year before the Town's final acceptance.
