Minutes of a special meeting of council held on
the above date in the Court Building at 7:00 p.m.

Mr. Clarence Bell of 137 Liberty Street North addressed
Council and requested Council's assistance in expediting
a remedy for water run off from Liberty Street onto
his driveway.

warden and explain Mr. Bell's problem and request

THAT Resolution tlC-397, approved by Council on
August 5th, 1969, be amended to read, "That the
sanitary sewer servicing of Rehder Avenue, Edsall
Avenue, Frederick Avenue, Barbara Street, Sturrock
Road and Jackman Road, be carried out persuant to
the provision of Section 8 of the Local Improvement
Act and thaI: the work IE included in the 1970 Capital
Forecast.

the Weed Inspector be instructed to have the grass
cut along Scugog Street. Also, the Works Department
was to be requested that when snow ploughing commences,
the snow should be pushed back as far as possible
along Liberty Street North to accommodate pedestrians.

to accompany the representative of Proctor & Redfern
Limited in discussions with residents on Church
Street, and that general procedures outlined in
the letter be continued.

supervisors on behalf of the Town for the F & T
subdivision development.

THAT the recommendation of the committee appointed
to interview applicants for the position of Clerk-
Administrator be accepted and that Mr. Joseph M.
McIlroy, A.M.C.T., be appointed Clerk-Administrator
for the Town of Bowmanville and his salary commence
at $12,500 and remain so for 1970, with the starting
date of his employment to begin on October 20, 1969.
