THAT the minutes of Council dated November 17th, 1969, be approved as printed. "CARRIED" Resolution #C-680 Moved by Con. Prout, seconded by Con. Cooke. THAT the letter of thanks regarding provision of facilities of the Library be received and filed. "CARRIED" Resolution #C-68l Moved by Con. Coombes, seconded by Con. Prout. THAT the letter from Cable T.V. Limited, regarding the burying of drop wires, be received andftled. "CARRIED" Resolution #C-682 Moved by Con. Dykstra, seconded by Con. Coombes. THAT a committee be appointed to discuss the question of county roads with the County Engineer and Clerk-Administrator. "CARRIED" The Mayor appointed Con. Dykstra, Coombes and Prout. THAT the request from the Rotary Club of Bowmanville for special consideration with regard to the bill for grass cutting services be tabled, pending receipt of further information. THAT the Clerk-Administrator be requested to write a letter to Mrs. Clark advising her that she ffould address her request to Darlington Township and the St. Mary's Cement Company. THAT the matter of trees at 64 Wellington Street and 113 Church Street, be referred to the Works Department with power to act if the tree is on Town property and that similar action be taken with regard to a tree in front of 113 Church Street. THAT the Clerk-Administrator be requested to ad~e the consultant for Oshawa Area Planning and Development Study that Council would meet with him at 7 p.m. on December 8th, 1969, and that the new members of the 1970 Council be invited to sit in at the meeting which should be held in the Council Chambers. Dykstra, seconded by Deputy Reeve Rundle. THAT the Statement of Accounts for the 14th to the 30th day of November, 1969, in the total amount of $97,820.20, be approved. THAT By-Law No. 69-30, a by-law to authorize the construction of road paving on Church Street, Division Street, Base Line and Simpson Avenue, be read a third time and passed. "CARRIED" Resolution #C-695 Moved by Con. Prout, seconded by Con. Cooke. THAT Mr. R. Welsh, Welfare Administrator, be permitted to attend a seminar to be held on December 8th and 9th at Queen's Park. THAT suitable message be placed in the local paper wishing the compliments of the festive season to the citizens of Bowmanville. THAT the Mayor and Clerk-Administrator be authorized to arrange for the necessary legal assistance with regard to the negotiations with the Police Association in connection with the new contract.
