Darlington Township Council met in the Council Chambers on this
date pursuant to the adjournment of the August 7th. , 1973, Session, all
Members present with the exception of Councillor Baker, Reeve Rickard
presiding.
73-8-10 Moved by Councillors Wearn and Dallas that W.S.Penfound be
advised that the unopened road allowance between Lots 34 & 35 in Concession
2, should not, in the opinion of this Council, be sold or disposed of at
this time.
73-8-11 Moved by Councillor Dallas and Deputy peeve Tink that
Intergovernmental Finance and Grants Policy hoard of the Ministry of
Treasury, Economics and Intergovernmental Affairs be, and is hereby
authorized to change the dollar amount in the Township ' s application
for approval of a 'Winter Capital rrojects Fund from the stated amount to
$350,000.00 as outside financing and X200,000.00 as loan requested.
73-8-12 Moved by Councillors Dallas and Wearn that:
WHEREAS the Council of the Corporation of the Township of
Darlington deems it expedient to apply for a loan under the Winter Capital
Projects Fund as described in the Memorandum of the Treasurer of Ontario
dated March 1, 1973, in respect of the following project, namely
TYRONE COMEUNITY CENTRE
hereinafter referred to as "the Project" ;
AND WHEREAS the project is , in the opinion of the Council, a
municipal project within the meaning of the above-mentioned memorandum;
AND WHEREAS the project would be additional to what was
contemplated or planned previously by the Council through to May 31, 1975;
AND WHE1tEAS the other requirements of the above-mentioned
Memorandum have been complied with;
NOW TH&:tEFORE be it resolved that application be made to the
Treasurer of Ontario for a loan in the amount of $709000.00 to assist in the
financing of the project under the Winter Capital �rojects Fund.
