Darlington Township Council met in the Municipal 'building on this
date, Reeve Rickard presiding, Deputy Reeve Tink, Councillors Baker and
Wearn present.
73-10-1 Moved by Councillor Baker and Leputy Reeve Tink that the minutes
of the meeting held September 18, 1973, be approved as read.
73-10-2 Moved by Deputy Reeve Tink and Councillor Baker that this Council
endorses the Proclamation of Fire Prevention Week.
73-10-3 Moved by Deputy Iteeve Tink and Councillor Wearn:
WHEREAS the Hydro Electric Power Commission of Ontario has
applied to close certain original allowances for road in the Broken Front
Concession and also certain streets shown on Registered Plan 97•
AND WHEREAS the purpose of closing the said road allowances
and roads is to provide property on which the Hydro Electric Power
Commission of Ontario can construct a Plant for the provision of electric
power to the residents of the area and other parts of the province.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the
Corporation of the Township of Darlington as follows:
1. That the Township of Darlington give consideration to the passing
of a BS'-law to stop up and close and provide for the sale thereof
to the abutting owners the following original allowances for
road in the Broken Front Concession of the Township of Darlington
running northerly from Lake Ontario to the service road
immediately south of Provincial Highway 401:
a. Between Lots 18 & 19 known as Metcalf Road.
b. Between Lots 20 & 21 known as Holt Road.
c. Between Lots 22 & 23 known as Park Road.
2. That the Clerk Administrator be authorized and directed to publish
all Notices required in connection with the passing of the said
By-law closing and providing for the sale of the original road
allowances.
3. That the Township of Darlington apply to the County Judge for
an Order closing and stopping up all the Avenues from 1st to
19th avenues as shown on Registered Plan 97 which is a sub-
division of Lots 22 and 23 in the Broken Fron Concession of the
Township of Darlington.
73-10-4 Moved by Councillor Baker and Deputy Reeve Tink:
WHEREAS the owners of the north halves of Lots 26 and 27 in the
5th. Concession of the Township of Darlington have applied to the Township
of Darlington for the closing and conveyance to them of the original
allowance for road lying between the north halves of Lots 26 and 27 in the
5th. Concession.
AND W:iE-iEAS the Council of the Corporation of the Township of
Darlington is desirous of considering the passing of such a By-law.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the Corporation
of the Township of Darlington as follows:
1. That the Council of the Township of Darlington consider the passing
of a By-law providing for the stopping up and the sale and
conveyance to the abutting owners of that part of the original
allowance for road lying between the north halves of Lots 26 &
27 in the 5th. Concession of the Township of Darlington and
running Southerly from the road allowance between Concessions 5 &
6 a distance of some 3 ,269,"72 feet.

2. That the Clerk Administrator be directed and authorized to
publish all Notices as required in connection with the passing
of such a By-law.
73-lo-5 Moved by Councillors Baker and Wearn that Road Accounts
presented to this meeting as Voucher ?F 19 , be approved for payment.

73-10-6 Moved by Councillor Wearn and Deputy Reeve Tink that, in the
matter of a subdivision proposal submitted by Donevan and Fleischman for
Betty Ruth Brooks, the Clerk-Administrator is directed to return the plan
to the Ministry with the comment that the Township is not prepared to
consider any further plans of subdivision until amendments to the Official
Plan are completed.
73-10-7 Moved by Councillors Baker and Wearn that the Building Inspector is
authorized to attend the Ontario Building Inspectors Conference in Toronto
on October 22-26, 1973.
Moved by Deputy Reeve Tink and Councillor Wearn that an application
for rezoning submitted by Mr. Macdonald on behalf of Mr. Groenveld,
referred to Council by Planning Board, cannot be favourably considered by
this Council.
73-10-9 Moved by Deputy Reeve Tink and Councillor Wearn that
Councillor Baker and Dallas be a Committee to arrange a suitable program
for the final meeting of the Municipal Council of the Corporation of the
Township of Darlington.
73-10-10 Moved by Councillors Baker and Wearn that this meeting adjourn.
