COUNCIL MINUTES
A Special meeting of Bowmanville Town Council convened at
4:15 p.m. on Tuesday, October 12th, 1965 at the Council Chambers,
Town Hall with His \lorship Mayor Ivan M. Hobbs in the Chair.
All members present.
I ROLL CALL:
II UiWINISHED BUSINESS:
1. Bernard Street:
.
Moved by Con. Hooper, seconded by Deputy Reeve Stevens.
THAT the Town Solicitor be authorized and instructed to proceed
through the County Court to have the balance of the services
installed on Bernard Street as provided in the committment
signed by ~rr. DeJong in December, 1961.

2. Sale of Third Street Lots:
Moved by Con. Hooper, seconded by Con. Chant.
THAT the lots on Third Street owned by the Corporation be offered
individually for sale by tender and that said tender indicate
that any tender may not be accepted and that a reserve bid has
been established.

The Reserve bid hereto mentioned shall be established by
appraisal.
3. Pedlars By-law 1909:

Moved by Deputy Reeve Stevens, seconded by Reeve Little.
THAT the Clerk be instructed to question The Municipal World
Magazine requesting their advice as to the existance of legis-
lation or regulations empowering Municipalities to ban the sale
of magazines by door-to-door salesmen without first obtaining a
municipal License therefor.
