To the Mayor and
Members of Town Council,
Bowmanville, Ontario.
Gentlemen:
In accordance with. Council's direction, the Striking Com.
mittee met on Wednesday, February lOth, 1965, for the purpose
of adjusting certain of the memberships of Council's standing
Committees, resulting from the vacancies created by the death
of Councillor Leslie.
Your Committee recommends as follows:
1. Dog Control Committee:
That Councillor /JI. Prout be appointed Chairman of the Dog
Control Committee and that Councilor Fice be removed from
this Committee.
(This Committee will, if the recommendation is accepted,
consist of Councillor Prout, Chairman, and Councillor
Rundle. )
2. Industrial Committee:
That Councillor P. Chant be appointed a member of the
Industrial Committee.
3. Welfare and Civic Committee:
That Councillor E. Rundle be appointed Chairman of the
Welfare and Civic Committee and that Councillor Chant be
removed from the Committee and that Councillor M. Prout
be appointed a member.
(This Committee will, if the recommendation is accepted,
consist of Councillor Rundle, Chairman, Councillor Fice,
and Councillor Prout, members.)
4. Police Committee:
That Councillor M. Prout be appointed a member of the Police
Committee.
5. Cemetery Board:
That Councillor M. Prout be appointed a member of the Bew-
manville Cemetery Board.
6. Library Board:
Owing to the resignation of Mrs. Swan from the Library
Board, it is recommended by your Committee that r~s. Joan
Webster be appointed a member of the Library Board to fill
the vacancy and complete the term of r~s. Swan.
