BY-LAW 2001-207
Being a by-law to appoint Grant Ashton and
Bill Jackson as By-law Enforcement Officers
WHEREAS Section 15(1) of The Police Services Act RSO 1990, Chapter p.15,
authorizes a Council of any Municipality to appoint one or more By-law
Enforcement Officers, who shall be Peace Officers for the purpose of enforcing
the By-laws of the Municipality; and
WHEREAS it is desirable to appoint Grant Ashton and Bill Jackson as By-law
Enforcement Officers by By-law for the sole purpose of enforcing the Traffic
By-law as amended;
NOW THEREFORE, the Council of the Corporation of the Municipality of
Clarington hereby enacts as follows:
1. THAT Grant Ashton is hereby appointed as a By-law Enforcement Officer
for the purpose of enforcing the Traffic By-law within the Municipality of
Clarington as it pertains to snow clearing; and
2. THAT Bill Jackson is hereby appointed as a By-law Enforcement Officer
for the purpose of enforcing the Traffic By-law within the Municipality of
Clarington as it pertains to snow clearing.
By-law read a first and second time this 26th day of November, 2001
By-law read a third time and finally passed this 26th day of November, 2001
