BY-LAW NUMBER 2002- 170
being a By-law to authorize the transfer of lands from Schickedanz Bros. Limited
to the Corporation of the Municipality of Clarington, for nominal consideration, the
lands more particularly described as Part Lots 7 and 8, Concession 2, former
Township of Darlington, Municipality of Clarington
WHEREAS, the Municipal Act, R.S.O. 1990, c.M.45, S.191(1) states that the Council of
every corporation may pass by-laws For acquiring or expropriating any land required for
the purposes of the Corporation;
WHEREAS, the Corporation of the Municipality of Clarington requires certain land for
public purposes through the Soper Creek valley;
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT, the Council of the Corporation of the
Municipality of Clarington enacts as follows:
1. That the Municipality is hereby authorized to accept the transfer, for nominal
consideration, of the lands more particularly described as Part Lots 7 and 8,
Concession 2, former Township of Darlington, from Schickedanz Bros. Limited to
the Municipality of Clarington.
2. That the map hereto shall form part of this By-law.
BY-LAW read a first time this 28th day of October 2002
BY-LAW read a second time this 28th day of October 2002
BY-LAW read a third time and finally passed this 28th day of October 2002
