BY-LAW NUMBER 2002- 169
being a By-law to authorize the transfer of lands from Dane Mark Williams to the
Corporation of the Municipality of Clarington, for nominal consideration, the lands
more particularly described as Parts 4, 27 and 29, 10R-1543, minus Part 1, 40R-
21419, Part Lots 12 and 13, Concession 1, former Town of Bowmanville,
Municipality of Clarington
WHEREAS, the Municipal Act, R.S.O. 1990, c.M.45, S.191(1) states that the Council of
every corporation may pass by-laws for acquiring or expropriating any land required for.
the purposes of the Corporation;
WHEREAS, the Corporation of the Municipality of Clarington requires certain land for
public purposes through the Bowmanville Creek valley;
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT, the Council of the Corporation of the
Municipality of Clarington enacts as follows:
1. That the Municipality is hereby authorized to accept the transfer, for nominal
consideration, of the lands more particularly described as Parts 4, 27 and 29,
10R-1543, minus Part 1, 40R-21419, Parts Lots 12 and 13, Concession 1, former
Town of Bowmanville from Dane Mark Williams to the Municipality of Clarington.
2. That the map hereto shall form part of this By-law.
BY-LAW read a first time this 28th day of October 2002
BY-LAW read a second time this 28th day of October 2002
BY-LAW read a third time and finally passed this 28th day of October 2002
