BY-LAW NUMBER 2002- 168
being a By-law to authorize the transfer of lands from Gatehouse Holdings
Limited to the Corporation of the Municipality of Clarington, for nominal
consideration, the lands more particularly described as Block 86, 1 OM-764, Part
Lot 35, Concession 2, former Township of Darlington, Municipality of Clarington
WHEREAS, the Municipal Act, R.S.O. 1990, c.M.45, S.191(1) states that the Council of
every corporation may pass by-laws for acquiring or expropriating any land required for
the purposes of the Corporation;
WHEREAS, the Corporation of the Municipality of Clarington requires certain land for
public purposes through the Farewell Creek valley;
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT, the Council of the Corporation of the
Municipality of Clarington enacts as follows:
1. That the Municipality is hereby authorized to accept the transfer, for nominal
consideration, of the lands more particularly described as Block 86, 10M-764,
Part Lot 35, Concession 2, former Township of Darlington, from Gatehouse
Holdings Limited to the Municipality of Clarington.
2. That the map hereto shall form part of this By-law.
