MEETING: General Purpose and Administration Committee
DATE: Monday, March 21, 1988
REPORT #: PD -61 -88 FILE #: PLN 24.1
SURJECT: MUNICIPAL STREET ADDRESSES
OUR FILE: PLN 24.1
RECOMMENDATIONS:
It is respectfully recommended that the General Purpose and Administration
Committee recommend to Council the following:
1. THAT Report PD -61 -88 be received; and
2. THAT Staff proceed with the necessary notices.
BACKGROUND AND COMMENT:
During a recent review of the municipal street address mapping, it became evident
that there was an error in the numbers assigned along the Clarke /Darlington
Townline. In that regard, these addresses, in rural areas, are not part of the
mailing address. They are intended solely for the purposes of identifying the
property for deliveries and emergency services. Bearing this in mind, we feel it
is essential that these numbers be correct since they relate directly to a grid
imposed on the municipal road system.

Accordingly, we feel it is essential that these numbers be corrected before
they are further entrenched. Staff will therefore notify the affected
individuals (+ 50) and advise them of the change using the attached notice.
Respectfully submitted,
T.T. Edwards, M.C.I.P.
