THAT Report PD -58 -88 be received; and 2. THAT the appropriate amending documents to the text of the Town of Newcastle Official Plan and the Courtice South Neighbourhood Development Plan be approved; and 3. THAT the amending documents to the Town of Newcastle Official Plan and Courtice South Neighbourhood Development Plan be forwarded to the Region of Durham for their information and necessary action; and 4. THAT the applicant and the applicant's agent be so advised. BACKGROUND AND COMMENT: At the Committee Meeting of February 15, 1988, the Committee had before it, Staff Report PD- -46 -88 in respect of amendments to the Town of Newcastle Official Plan, Courtice South Neighbourhood Development Plan and Town of Newcastle Zoning By --law ...2 REPORT NO.: PD -58 -88 PAGE 2 84 -63, as amended, to permit the development of four (4) condominium apartment buildings with a total of 333 units and 1390 square metres of associated commercial uses. As Members of Committee may recall the Official Plan, Neighbourhood Plans and Zoning By -law were approved with the necessary by -law amendments forwarded to Council at such time as the Region of Durham approves the subject Official Plan amendment. At that time, Staff recommended that the appropriate amendment schedules be forwarded to the next General Purpose and Administration Committee meeting being March 7, 1988. In that regard, the amending documents to the Neighbourhood Plan are attached hereto. Staff would note, however, that the amending schedules to By -law 84 -63, as amended, have not been prepared. Staff require a more detailed site plan, indicating the setback requirements, number of units and area of each unit before Staff can finalize the preparation of a By -law. In consideration of the above -noted comments, Staff respectfully submit, for approval, amendments to the Neighbourhood Development Plan and Town of Newcastle Official Plan. Respectfully submitted, T.T. Edwards, M.C.I.P. Director of Planning CRV *TTE *jip *Attach. February 29, 1988 Recommended for presentation to the Committee y /Lawrence E.
