Brown, Chairman, Splash Building Committee Re: Town of Newcastle Fitness Centre TSH #22-4018 1 Dear Sirs : Further to our recent meeting with Mr. Glen Holmes, Superintendent of Plant, Northumberland and Newcastle Board of Education, we advise you of the foll- owing agreed to at the meeting. E s 1. Doors No. 2 and 21 of Corridor 116 shall be keyed alike but different from all other doors, also they will. not be master keyed. The key for these doors will be handed over to the Vice-Principal of the school . i This will provide access to Corridor 116 only as authorized by the Vice- Principal. The Town or Splash staff will not have access to this corri- dor or the school. 2. Door No, 32, emergency exit door, from Mechanical Room 208 shall not have access from the school side. The keyway will be sealed closed. A sign and a "Pilfer Guard" door alarm will be installed on this door. The sign I shall say "EINE RGENCY EXIT ONLY - PUSH TO OPEN TO SOUND ALARM". The alarm will provide a loud and penetrating sound whenever it is opened. This will psychologically deter anyone from trying to gain unauthorized access to the school. This door already has an alarm which sounds in the General Office when this door is opened. This will give complete security over this door. I 3. Door No. 31, 35 and 36 for emergency exit from Boiler Room 210 and Mech- anical Room 208 shall be keyed alike but different from all other doors, also they will not be master keyed. Keys for the Boiler Room and Mechanical :I Room will only be issued to authorized maintenance staff of the Town and as such control unauthorized entry into these rooms . The school will not have any access to these rooms. Attached is a copy of a quotation for the cost of "Pilfer Guard" in the amount of $120.00. No cylinder is required. The cost of this alarm shall be expended from your furnishing allowance. YQh s TU4, 1i k, V'\. R y
