THE CORPORATION OF THE MUNICIPALITY OF CLARINGTON
BY.LAW 2004-016
Being a By-law to appoint Fence Viewers for the
Municipality of Clarington and to repeal By-law 2001-007.
WHEREAS Section 2 of the Line Fences Act Chapter L.17, R.S.O., 1990, provides that
the Council of every local municipality shall appoint, by by-law, such number of Fence
Viewers as are required to carry out the provisions of the Act and the by-law shall fix the
per diem remuneration to be paid to the Fence Viewers;
NOW THEREFORE THE COUNCIL OF THE CORPORATION OF THE MUNICIPALITY
OF CLARINGTON HEREBY ENACTS AS FOLLOWS:
1. THAT the following persons are hereby appointed as Fence Viewers for
the Municipality of Clarington for a term concurrent with the term of the
appointing Councilor until a successor is appointed:
William Gordon
Glenn Smith
John Stewart
Jim Vinson
2. THAT the remuneration of the Fence Viewers be set in accordance with the
budget allocations approved by Council for this purpose.
3. THAT By-law 2001-007 is hereby repealed.
BY -LAW read a first and second time this 19th day of January 2004.
BY-LAW read a third time and finally passed this 19th day of January 2004.
