SUBJECT: REZONING APPLICATION - 600646 ONTARIO LIMITED
PART LOT 20, CONCESSION 2, FORMER TWP. OF DARLINGTON

RECOMMENDATIONS:
It is respectfully recommended that the General Purpose and Administration Committee
recommend to Council the following:
I. THAT Report PD-41-86 be received; and
2. THAT the application submitted by 600646 Ontario Limited, to rezone a parcel of
land located in Part Lot 20, Concession 2, former Township of Darlington to permit
the present use of three (3) residential units to increase to five (5) residential
units and one (1) commercial use, be received and referred to Staff for processing
and a subsequent report and public meeting.
BACKGROUND AND COMMENT:
On January 27, 1986, the Planning Department received an application for rezoning from
600646 Ontario Limited which seeks permission to expand the existing residential uses to
five (5) units and one (1) commercial use.
The application has been circulated, in accordance with departmental procedure, to various
agencies and Town departments for their comment. It is noted for the Committee's
information that, pursuant to the requirements of the Planning Act, the application has
been scheduled for a public meeting April 7, 1986.

Accordingly, it is recommended that the application be received for
information and referred back to Staff for the preparation of a subsequent
report.

The Town of Newcastle Planning and Development Committee is considering an
application for an amendment to Zoning By-law #84-63 and, pursuant to its procedure
for processing applications, wishes to obtain your comments before submitting its
recommendations to the Town of Newcastle General Purpose and Administration
Committee.
