RECOMMENDATIONS:
It is respectfully recommended that the General Purpose and Administration Committee
recommend to Council the following:
I. THAT Report PD-16-86 be received; and
2. THAT the application submitted by Mr. G. Gabourie to rezone a parcel of land being
Part of Lot 35, Concession 3, Darlington to permit the development of three (3)
additional lots, be received and referred to Staff for processing and a subsequent
report and public hearing.
BACKGROUND AND COMMENT:
On December 17, 1985 the Planning Department received an application submitted by Mr. G.
Gabourie to rezone a parcel of land located in Part of Lot 35, Concession 3, former
* Township of Darlington (see attached) . The submission of the rezoning application is to
permit the development of three (3) additional residential lots.
The application has been circulated to various agencies and Town departments for their
* comments (see attached) .

It is recommended that the application be received for information and
referred back to Staff for a subsequent report. At such time as the
necessary circulation has been completed, Staff shall schedule this
application for a public meeting of the General Purpose and Administration
Committee pursuant to the requirements of the Planning Act.
It is noted for the Committee's information that an Official Plan Amendment
(File: 85-21/D/ND) with respect to Part Lot 35, Concession 3, Darlington
has been received, reviewed and recommended for approval by Committee and
Council (Report PD-124-85. ..September 23, 1985). To date, Regional Council
has not dealt with the application.

The Town of Newcastle Planning and Development Committee is considering an
application for an amendment to Zoning By-law P 84-63 and, pursuant to its
procedure for processing applications, wishes to obtain your comments before
submitting its recomnendations to the Town of Newcastle General Purpose and
Administration Committee.
