HomeMy WebLinkAbout2012-09-25 Minutes r l SANTA CLAUS PARADE - MINUTES OF MEETING September 25, 2012 Start Time: 7:00 p.m. End Time: 8:00 p.m. Attendance: Roger Letooze, Kathy McLaughlin, Robin Lacey, Terryl Tzikas, Tracy Bayley-Buckle, Allison Dart, Jen Ashby, Ted Walton, Ron Hooper Regrets; Bill Heathcote Previous Minutes from September 11, 2012 were accepted Motion made by: Tracy Seconded by: Robin All in Favour— Passed Terryl Tzikas— Chairperson Terryl will look into the cost of having a sign hung on King Street at the bridge. Will check the price of this sign at James Publishing Terryl will contact Veridian who hangs the sign Will report back at next meeting KATHY MCLAUGHLIN — Publicity • Will place an ad in the paper for volunteers. • Letterhead has been ordered and bill will be sent to Allison • Have picked up stamps for donation letters • Donation letters will be sent the first week in October TRACEY BAYLEY-BUCKLE — Make Up • Signs will cost$429.40 for 100 signs with one colour. Tracy will order • Parade sign — Contact same company as last year. Tracy will check to see if they can put the same Santa on signs as it is on Website • Tracy will get the cost for these signs JEN ASHBY— Bands • Has the Cobourg Legion Pipe Band booked • Jenn has a helper this year • Jenns friend has volunteered to look after the website • Kathy will forward to Jenn at next meeting a disc of the pictures from last years parade ROBIN LACEY— Buttons, Costumes • Waiting for a reply from the Clarington Beech Centre regarding Costumes • Buttons, finished product should be ready by October 15th. Bowmanville High School is creating these for us ROGER LETOOZE/BILL HEATHCOTE —Judging/Posters/Rogers Cable/Buttons and Button boxes • Canquest bill has been paid • Roger has purchased table and chairs • Roger will order the plaque for Volunteer of the Year ALLISON DART - Treasurer • Nothing to report at this time, but if anyone has any bills please let her know • Will have more to report once donations start coming in TED WALTON — LEGION REPRESENTATIVE Has many volunteers for button sales RON HOOPER— COUNCIL REPRESENTATIVE • Town Council would like to put a float in parade this year.
