BY-LAW 2001- 124
Being a by-law respecting the expenses paid to the
Mayor and Members of Council
WHEREAS Section 243 of the Municipal Act, R.S.O. 1990, allows for the
provision of expenses of the members of council as are incurred as a result of
their acting either within or outside the municipality in their capacity as members
of council;
AND WHEREAS the car allowance for the Mayor and Members of Council have
not been adjusted since November 1998;
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT:
1. The car allowance of the Mayor be approved at $500 per month, effective
January 1, 2001.
2. The car allowance of the Members of Council be approved at $200 per
month, effective January 1, 2001.
By-law read a first and second time this 25th day of June 2001.
By-law read a third time and finally passed this 25th day of June 2001.
