1. Inherited Situation

in the town created by consent.

Newcastle charged any lot 1(-vies for lots either in subd ivio L, ns
or created ty consent.

The Regional Planning Department has done a survey of the levies
charged by other mun- c.ipalities in the Region for lots created
by consent. These are listed r(;low for the: y(,sr 1973 for
municipalities other than Oshaira. and 'wlhitry. Other rmuzicipal-
ities not listed charged no lot levies in 1973•

I recomnend that Council should adopt by resolution the schedule
of lot levies listed below. This schedule does not rcpresent
any profound financial analysis of the municipal costs arising
from development. It is rathcr j"st , reasonable set of figures
determined by comparison with what nearby municipalities similar
to ourselves are doinj with a small allowance_ a.ddad for i.nflakion,
