REPORT ON MISCELLANEOUS OUTSTANDING
REFERRALS
This is a report for Council on the disposition of a number of small
items which have been on the Agenda for some time but do not require
individual reports. The number preceding each item is the Council
resolution referring it to this committee.
C ®74 -308 - Rezoning of Newcastle Golf Course Lands:
The applicant was given a rezoning application form in order that he
could specify the exact area which he wanted rezoned. He has not yet
returned the form.
L -74 49'% ® Rezoning Petition for M. Veltri:
This is a petition from some of the downtown merchants in favour of
M. Veltri proposed development on King Street East, Howmanville. This
is being considered as part of the downtown study which I can report
is now a�jproximately halfway completed. We are working now on speci-
fic criteria for this site based on the general standards in the pro-
posed new by-law. We are still hoping that when they see the product
of our study, we will be able to persuade the owners of the adjacent
abandoned service station to bring their land into the project.

This is now the subject of an Official Plan Amendment application and
awaits resolution of that issue.

A Petition re Stephenson Rezoning

This rezoning has been approved in principle by Council and we are
awaiting further instructions. I would suggest that the matter should
be referred to Municipal Planning Consultants for drafting of a by-law
amendment and site plan agreement, applicant to pay costs.
C-24-569 ® Letter re Jeffrey's Subdivisions Ennis lie
A meeting is being set up by the Provincial Planners to discuss this
subdivision with myself and Regional Officials. I will advise the
Committee of the results of this discussion and any recommendations
which emerge.
