LETTER FROM 19ZINFELDT GROUP
Mr. Angus M. Cranston, Director of Planning for the Klei.nfeldt
Group wrote to Council in June submitting two alternative concept
plans for an estate residential subdivision on the west side of
Liberty Street (Rego Rd. 14) immediately north of the Third Conces-
sion Road. Since we had no specific policy, even of an interim
nature, for estate residential development, we were not able to
consider this application in isolation. I wrote the attached letter
to Mr. Cranston on August 22nd, outlining the procedure which I
proposed to use in processing applications for estate residential
subdivisions.
Since it appears that we will be required to operate under a quota
system in the short run with regard to estate residential subdivi-
sions. I am recommending that the following procedure be adopted.
When the Interim District Plan has been approved by Council and the
Region, I will prepare a report on ail estate residential subdivisions
submitted at that time to the municipality. I will recommend to the
Committee those, if any, which I feel best conform with the policies
in the Distract Plan while keeping within the required quota. If
these proposals are then given conditional approval by the Committee,
more detailed follow up studies will then be done including consult-
ants reports if necessary.
Respectfully submitted,
I 1
