RECOMMENDATIONS:
It is respectfully recommended:
1. THAT Report PD-91-90 be received for information.
REPORT:
The 1989 Year End Report and 1990 Work Program for the Department
of Planning and Development is provided herein under separate cover
for the information of the Committee and Council.
The Department has traditionally presented Council a Work Program
annually at the early part of each year in order to provide
information of the work activities anticipated to be undertaken by
the Department. This is particularly important as the Department's
work activities are primarily generated within an office
environment and not readily visible nor can be easily identified
physically such as in parks and recreation or road maintenance.

Slightly departing from tradition, this year's Work Program
includes the 1989 Year End Report which provides pertinent
statistical information and should be read in conjunction with the
1990 Work Program.
