Subject: MONITORING OF THE DECISIONS OF THE COMMITTEE OF ADJUSTMENT
FOR THE MEETINGS OF MARCH 21, 1991 & APRIL 4, 1991
FILE: A91/002 and A91/005 to A91-009 INCLUSIVE
Recommendations:
It is respectfully recommended that the General Purpose and
Administration Committee recommend to Council the following:
1. THAT Report PD-90-91 be received; and
2 . THAT Council concur with the decisions of the Committee of
Adjustment made at its meeting of March 21, 1991 and April 4, 1991;
and
3 . THAT Staff be authorized to appear before the Ontario Municipal
Board to defend the decisions of the Committee of Adjustment in the
event of an appeal.
1. BACKGROUND
1. 1 The Committee of Adjustment heard applications on March 21, 1991
and April 4, 1991. The Committee dealt with a total of six (6)
applications during the two (2) meeting. Applications A 91/006 and
A91/007 were DENIED by the Committee as the applications were
deemed not to be minor in nature, nor in compliance with the Zoning
By-law provisions . The balance of the applications were APPROVED
as applied for.
1. 2 Staff have reviewed the decisions of the Committee and are
satisfied that the applications approved conform to the general
intent of the Official Plan and the Zoning By-law and that the
variances approved are minor in nature and desireable for the
development of the area.

1.3 Council 's concurrence with the Committee of Adjustment decisions
is required in order to afford Staff's official status before the
Ontario Municipal Board in the event of appeal of the decisions of
the Committee of Adjustment.
