APPLICANT: ALINA BRIDGEMAN ON BEHALF OF ESQUIRE DEVELOPMENTS
Recommendations:
J It is respectfully recommended that the General Purpose and
Administration Committee recommend to Council the following:
l1. THAT the Addendum to Report PD-81-91 be received;
2 . THAT Report PD-81-91 be amended to include new Recommendations as
follows:

113 . THAT the Town's Conditions of Draft Approva1 -for the related
Plan of Subdivision 18T-87055, dated March 12, 1990, be
amended to reflect the above recommendation; and
1 4 . THAT, in accordance with Section 16 . 6 .4 of the Durham Regional
Official Plan, the removal of the 'Holding Symbol (H) ' from
the subject lands, cannot be approved until such time as a
.subdivision agreement has been entered .into between the Town
and the developer; and
5 . THAT Staff be authorized to appear before the upcoming hearing
of the Ontario Municipal Board in support of the above
position, if deemed necessary by the Regional Solicitor; and"
' 3 . THAT Recommendations 3 and 4 in Report PD-81-91 be renumbered as
Recommendations 5 and 6 respectively.
1. BACKGROUND
!� 1. 1 Since the preparation of Staff Report PD-81-91, the Town received,
on April 4, 1991, a Notice of a Pre-Hearing Conference on the
Lamb's Road interchange issue as it affects proposed amendments to
the Official Plans of the Town of Newcastle and the Region of
l Durham, Draft Plan of Subdivision 18T-87055, and Rezoning

Application DEV 89-90 . The Pre-Hearing Conference will be held on j
Monday May 6, 1991, for the purpose of dealing with preliminary and
procedural issues . j
1. 2 Upon further review, Staff have concluded that the Town's position
I
in respect of all matters to be discussed at the Pre-Conference
Hearing should be clarified. Accordingly, it is recommended that
the Recommendations in Report PD-81-91 be amended as indicated
above. i
