SDB,JECT: WITHDRAWAL OF TOWN'S APPEAL TO THE
ONTARIO MUNICIPAL BOARD
FILE: LD 692/88 (STAINTON)
RECOMMENDATIONS:
It is respectfully recommended that the General Purpose and Administration
Committee recommend to Council the following:
1. THAT Report PD-46-89 be received; and
2. THAT the Ontario Municipal Board be advised that the Town withdraws its
appeal with respect to LD 692/88 (Stainton) ; and
3. THAT the Secretary Treasurer of the Land Division Committee be advised of
Council's decision.
1. BACKGROUND:
1.1 On November 21, 1988, Committee recommended an appeal be lodged against the
decision of the Land Division Committee which denied Mr. Stainton's
severance application.
1.2 The above-noted appeal was related to the Town's proposed acquisition of
part of Mr. Stainton's property for a northern Fire Station site.

2. COMMENT:
The solicitor of the Town and the solicitor for Mr. 8taintoo has now
completed the land transaction for the Fire Station and therefore, the
Tovnz`o appeal of the Land Division Committee's decision is no longer
necessary, and it would be in order to withdraw the appeal.
