BACKGROUND: 1.1 With respect to the Building Permit Activity for the month of December, 1988, Staff wish to highlight the following statistics for the information of Committee and Council. COMMENTS: In reviewing the building activities of this past year, it is evident that the Tmml has experienced another record breaking year, both in terms of number of permits issued and value of construction. Barring uutnzeoeeu circumstances, we expect the building activities for 1989 will continue at the same pace as last year with moderate increase in industrial building activity.
