SUBJECT: E%TENSION OF DRAFT APPROVAL - PENWEST DEVELOPMENTS LIMITED
PART LOT 9, CONCESSION 1, FORMER TOWN OF BOWMANVILLE

RECOMMENDATIONS:
It is respectfully recommended that the General Purpose and
Administration Committee recommend to Council the following:
1. THAT Report PD-6-91 be received;
2 . THAT the Minister of Municipal Affairs be advised that the Town of
Newcastle has no objections to the extension of draft approval for
Subdivision 18T-76011 for a further one ( 1) year period to January
29, 1992 .
1. BACKGROUND
1. 1 The Ministry of Municipal Affairs has advised Staff that draft
approval with respect to Plan 18T-76011 as revised, will lapse on
January 29, 1990 pursuant to the Planning Act unless an extension
is granted prior to the lapsing date. The Ministry is now
considering to grant such an extension. Accordingly, Ministry
Staff request confirmation of the status of the Plan of Subdivision
as previously recommended for approval by the Town of Newcastle.
1.2 Staff would note for the Committee's information that the
conditions of draft approval as previously issued are consistent
with Town Policy in review of Plans of Subdivision.

1. 3 Staff would confirm for the Committee's information that the Owner
has proceeded to date in the registration of three (3) separate
plans of development. The remaining phase is subject to the
requirements of a Stormwater Management Study. This study is being
finalized through the Town's involvement with land owners in the
immediate vicinity affected by the study perimeters .
1.4 In consideration of the above noted comments, Staff would have no
objections to the extension of draft plan approval for a further
one ( 1) year period to January 1, 1992 with respect to Plan
18T-76011.
