SUBJECT: APPEALS OF LAND DIVISION COMMITTEE DECISIONS

PART LOT 2, CONCESSION 8, FORMER TWP. OF DARLINGTON
RECOMMENDATIONS:
It is respectfully recommended that the General Purpose and Administration Committee
recommend to Council the following:
1. THAT Report PD-174-87 be received for information.
BACKGROUND AND COMMENT:
On June 8, 1987 the Planning Department received an Appointment for an Ontario Municipal
3oard Hearing for the Essery application and Notice that an appeal had been filed in
respect of the Kovacs' application.
Both of these are being appealed because of concerns arising from the interpretation of
the Regional Official Plan. Staff are of the opinion that there is no requirement for the
Town to be represented at the Hearing as the Zoning By-law is being adhered to. Any
conditions outlined by the Town would be included if the decision of the Board is to
approve either application.
