THAT Report PD-179-87 be received for information. BACKGROUND AND COMMENT: or the information of the General Purpose and Administration Committee, Statf have prepared the attached list of applications to the Committee of Adjustment for the meeting of June 18, 1987. This list includes the file number, applicants name, site location, type of variance requested, Official Plan Conformity, By-law Conformity, Staff's comments on the applications and the Committee of Adjustment' s decision. Boyle, Lot 20, Concession 2, Darlington. Application was made for relief from zoning by-law requirements in order to permit the applicant to expand an existing legal non- conforming use by a 2100 sq. ft. addition to the existing commercial workshop. Mr. Boyle appeared in support of this application. Mr. & Mrs. Van Abbema appeared with interest in this application. No other person appeared in support of or in opposition to this application. Moved by Mr. Heming, seconded by Mr. Murdoch, "THAT as the proposed addition to the legal non- conforming use would not appear to offend the intent of the Official Plan and would not have a detrimental effect on the area, permission is GRANTED to expand the legal non-conforming use by a 2100 sq. ft. addition to the existing commercial workshop. " "CARRIED" Committee of Adjustment Meeting, June 18, 1987. A 46/87 - Harold & Diane Schumann, Lot 12, Concession 1 , Clarke. Application was made for relief from zoning by-law requirements in order to permit the applicant to create an agricultural use, namely the keeping of horses, on a 4.53 acre parcel of land, instead of the required 2 ha (4.9 acre) parcel of land. Mr. Schumann appeared in support of this application. No other person appeared in support of or in opposition to this application. Moved by Mrs. Payne, seconded by Mr. Murdoch, "THAT as the requested variance appears to conform with the intent of the Zoning By-law and Official Plan and is considered minor in nature, permission is GRANTED to permit the applicant to create an agricultural use, namely the keeping of horses, on a 4.53 acre parcel of land. "CARRIED" OTHER BUSINESS- Moved by Mr. Murdoch, seconded by Mrs. Payne, "THAT Application No. A 47/87, filed by Dianne Kellick, be deferred to the next meeting of the Committee of Adjustment in order to allow the applicant to be present to answer any questions that the Committee might have. " "CARRIED" Moved by Mr. Murdoch, seconded by Mr. Barrie, "THAT Application No. A 48/87, filed by Halminen Homes, be deferred to the next meeting of the Committee of Adjustment in order to allow the applicant to be present to answer any questions that the Committee might have."
