We received a fair number of positive comments. The attendance is also encouraging considering that this is only the background stage of the entire Official Plan Review process. 3 . There were many verbal coluggnts provided to staff and a REPORT NO. : PD-244-92 PAGE 2 limited number of verbal comments were recorded by staff immediately. All verbal and written comments will be consolidated and reviewed as we proceed towards the next phase of the Official Plan Review. In addition, these comments will be analyzed in conjunction with the results of the a Public Attitude Survey. Public comments will be subject to a separate report to Council at a later date. 4 . There are several positive aspects of the Public Information Centres and many comments made by many residents reinforce the success of such an endeavour. Comments were wide ranging but generally residents were appreciative for involvement early in the Review process rather than just being asked to comment on a proposal. Residents felt the data presented was informative and the displays were impressive. 5. Staff wish to thank the Mayor and Members of Council who dropped into the Public Information Centres and availed themselves to talk to the residents. This excellent participation by Council certainly was reflected in positive verbal comments received throughout.
