Recommendations.
It is respectfully recommended that the General Purpose and
Administration Committee recommend to Council the following:
1. THAT Report PD- 113 -95 be received for information.
1. Over the years, the Municipality has received many requests for
information on properties available for commercial development or
occupancy. In order to meet this demand and present the
information professionally, the Planning Department has prepared
a series of commercial project profiles on approved or pending
projects.
2. All properties included in this inventory are located on lands
designated for commercial development. Rezoning or site plan
approvals may be required prior to permitting development.
3. Each profile includes various information on the property
including planning status, required approvals, and the Planning
Department contact. Where available, a copy of the proposed or
approved site plan is incorporated. These profiles will be
updated on a regular basis and expanded to include vacant
commercially zoned lands.
4. A sample project profile is attached to this report. A complete
set of profiles will be forwarded to E.D.O. to assist his effort
to attract businesses to the Municipality.
