1. Call to Order:At 6pm By Annette Gray
2. Approval of Agenda.

4.Approval of November Minutes,
Errors or Omissions-
November minutes were mistakenly stated that light for the sign were installed.
5.Guest Presentations:
Rep from OAAA didn't make an appearance.
6.Old business:
(A) Urban survey of Orono that was to be done by Urban Planning
grads was to be done after January 17.
(B) Lisa from Victorias Attic distributed the new flyers for Orono, they are to be
distributed through out the district and further afield if possible
(C) The lights on the Orono sign have yet to be installed
7.New Business.
Treasurer report:
Curious Shopper- DBIA will not advertising at this time.
Orono Business Website- Donna Wood, will continue as website designer
Councilor Updates-Wendy told us about the sign honouring Bryan Bickell
They hoped to see erected in the area,
It would cost about $300.00 to be funded by DBIA
It was decided it would be discussed at a later date.
The financial report is attached as is a sample of the fee schedule
for business listings and advertising on the DBIA website

Treasurer Report -- Orono DBIA Meeting — January 11, 2012
1 . $3,009.24 was transferred from the GIC account into the DBIA operating
account on December 21 , 2011 .
This was to pay for:
1 ) Street Christmas Wreaths refurbishing - Greenbelt Services $1802.75
2) The "Curious Paper" adds that the DBIA committed to $464.43
3) Flower Maintenance for the summer -- Greenbelt Services $ 649.75
The current balance in the GIC is $1476.23
2. $268.38 was paid out to A-Line to remove flags & install Christmas wreaths
on the Street posts.
3. $217.50 paid to Enovations Designs for monthly updates for Oct 1 Nov 1
Dec. and website work.
4. $74.17 paid to Chris Townsend for receipts & BIA Bucks to replenish
treasurers float. Treasurer has a cash float of $100.00.
5. $259.90 paid to Orono Weekly Times for the Visit with Santa event add.
6. $500.00 was requested from the Municipality of Clarington to be taken out
of the Orono reserve fund for.the CIP Survey for Orono.
7. Auditors requested and were sent copies of our meeting minutes and a
questionnaire.
8. Balance in the operating account is approx. $80.00
9. DBIA will receive this years budget money from the municipality at the
beginning of April 2012
10. Annual Bank Confirmation form will be given to CIBC this week to be
filled out and returned to Clarington Finance Dept.
