Antique&Art Festival (Aug.15/09) School helpers much appreciated -see Lynn Couch for proper spelling Natalie, Tessa, Jonathon budget report for festival at next meeting All went well -appraisers worked out well -over on the library lawn -felt there were as many people as last year. Suggestions for next year -Advertise for a sub committee in Orono Paper-looking for interested people to help organize the 3rd annual Antique&Art festival - Information booth on days activities, parking, downtown businesses- run by local charity group like CIBC run for the cure. - shuttle service to be run from the main parking area - businesses to write down names and phone Vs of interested parties/entrants and relay the info. to Annette to call back -Advertising/flyers to be put in Port Hope/Cobourg/Peterborough/Linday/Toronto area ... re: day trippers Possibly some radio advertising re the Breeze -See Scott Chill Cookoff (Sept. 26/09) Sub Committee -with Scott Story - Flora Sharpe - Libby Brolman -Shelly Rivers - Pam Hodgson -Cathy Abernathy -John Thomson $500. received from OPG through Gord Robinson -also see Jennifer at the municipality re 10 X 10 tents if needed Judges for Chili tasting -Gord Robinson -John Story -Gwen Woodcock ( in Town Hall) Set up for taste kits will be in the town hall, downstairs on Friday Night before the 26th Silent auction slated for upstairs in town hall on Saturday. 2/23/2010 Page 2 of 2 John Thomson working on the old banner from band festival to have lettering placed opposite side for Chili Cookoff and hung underneath the 115 Hwy sign coming Northbound. If letters could come off the original side- possibly use that side for the antique festival advertising. Cost approx. $400 Sign-up Kits for the cookers' and pie contestants can be picked up at Terrens Wellness, Di's Pizza, & Orono Times. Band -Charles Street Band Chili tasting at 1:30 One more pie flavor added = now apple, pumpkin, & Lemon - Flora Sharpe to see if we can borrow the pie cooler from Orono Fair Grounds Craft table for kids and face painting Foodland and Village Bakeshop helping again with foodstuffs for cookoff Donna Wood working on the Poster for Cookoff Suggestion to ask local car dealers to put a car in either end of street for advertising. Amin suggested Mark Rainford and Jim Davies-both living in town $500 fee?
