Executive Meeting
January 18"',2007 @ 1:30 p.m. in the Community Town Hall, Newcastle
In attendance:
Bastas, Karen Kimbel, Joan Wilson, Mary
Gyaltsan, Tenzin Lovekin, Valentine
Hickson,Dwight Turnbull, Anthony
Call to order: 1:30p.m.
Lovekin noted the Board of Management consisted of
1 member chosen by Council- Councillor Gord Robinson
And 6 members of downtown businesses
Lovekin noted he has been chairman for the past 4 years and it is the Board of
Managements Decision for him to continue. He is prepared to continue. All were in favor
for Lovekin to remain as Chairman.
Wilson was asked to leave the room for her position to discussed.
Favor of Wilson to remain as Secretary/Treasurer was agreed upon.
Bastas would stand as Vice Chairperson and 5 Standing Committees including a Finance
Committee would continue.

Downtown Safety&Decor-- Gyaltsan &Turnbull
Advertising Hickson and Kimbel
Special Events--Bastas
Finance Committee to be arranged
Topics were asked to be tabled at the next meeting and added to the agenda.
Lovekin spoke on expansion of our downtown boundaries and the BIA's Purpose
