The Committee met at the Municipal Administrative Centre at 4:30 p.m. The meeting
consisted of a tour of some of the abandoned cemeteries in the former Township of
Clarke, namely Newtonville Presbyterian, Shiloh, McLean's/Elliott's/New Connexion,
White/Porter, Lawrence/Waddell, Bethel, Lawrence Back, Providence (former Township
of Darlington) and Rehoboth (former Township of Darlington).
It was determined that a cleaning of the monuments in Newtonville Presbyterian
Cemetery would be undertaken, rather than Trinity Anglican Cemetery as was
determined at the last meeting. This cleaning will be done on June 25 at 4:30 p.m.
The meeting adjourned at 7:00 p.m.
