THAT Report PD -67 -95 be received; 2. THAT Council concur with the decisions of the Committee of Adjustment made on June 8, 1995; and 3. THAT Staff be authorized to appear before the Ontario Municipal Board to defend the decision of the Committee of Adjustment in the event of an appeal. 1.1 In accordance with Section 45 of the Planning Act R.S.O. 1990, all applications received by the Municipality for minor variance are scheduled to be heard within 30 days of being received by the Secretary Treasurer. The Committee DENIED the one (1) application heard at the June 8, 1995 meeting. 1.2 The applicant proposed to reduce the required 18 m frontage for a semi - detached /link lot to 16.02 m. At the meeting a petition was presented in objection to the application. As well, several neighbours spoke in objection to the application. 1.3 Staff did not support the variance, as the lot can accommodate a single family dwelling in accordance with the zone provisions. Furthermore, the lot is not in keeping with the character of the area which is predominantly single family dwellings on lots in excess of 16.0 m frontages. ...2 •' REPORT NO.: PD °67 °95 PAGE 2 1.4 Staff have reviewed the Committee's decision with respect to the above - referenced applications and are satisfied that the decision to deny the application is appropriate. 1.5 Council's concurrence with the Committee of Adjustment decision is required in order to afford Staff's official status before the Ontario Municipal Board in the event of an appeal of the decision of the Committee of Adjustment.
