BY-LAW NUMBER 2005- 028
being a By-law to extend the period of time that Interim Control By-Law 2004-061
would be In effect passed pursuant to Section 38 of the Planning Act, R.S.O.
1990, c.P.13, as amended
WHEREAS Staff prepared Report PSD-023-04 identifying the need to undertake a review
or study of the land use planning policies respecting the south Courtice Employment Area
bounded by Highway 401 , Solina Road, CN Railway and Courtice Road;
WHEREAS at its meeting on March 1, 2004, Council directed Staff to undertake the review
or study of land use planning policies for the South Courtice Employment Lands and
adopted Interim Control By-law 2004-061;
WHEREAS Staff prepared Report PSD-027-05 providing an update on the status of the
South Courtice Business Park Study and advised that a one-year extension to the Interim
Control By-law for the subject lands is appropriate;
WHEREAS By-law 2004-061 expires on March 1, 2005 and Council deems it expedient to
pass a By-law under Section 38 of the Planning Act, R.S.O. 1990, c.P.13, as amended;
NOW THEREFORE, the Council of the Corporation of the Municipality of Clarington
hereby enacts as follows:
1. Section 3 of By-law 2004-061 is amended by deleting the word "one (1)" and
replacing it with the word "two (2)".
2. This By-law shall come into effect on the date of the passing hereof.
