SUBJECT: Correspondence from Anne Cooke, Secretary
Bowmanville United Soccer Club
With reference to the attached letter regarding
the Bowmanville United Soccer Club incorporating the
Recreation Soccer League into their organisation.
The following is a recommendation from the Director
and Staff:
"THAT the Community Services Committee recommend
to Council that the request of the Bowmanville
United Soccer League incorporate the Recreation
Soccer League into their organisation and take
over assets pertaining to the Recreation Soccer
League such as equipment. (sweaters 4 soccer
balls etc.)
Please find attached a list of equipment.

Further to your ccnversaticn with Mr. George Pithie regarding
cur club taking over the running of Recreaticnal Soccer in the
Tcwn of Newcastle, the subject was brcught up at cur recent
A.G.M.
At cur ;general meeting the proposal was approved and a mcticn
was passed giving the executive apprcvai tc ccntact the Town
of Newcastle Recreation department to initiate the chrange-over ®
A meeting will be set up in the near future with clubs in the
Cshawa, Whitby and Ajax area, to gather information cn the
running of leagues. Following this meeting the executive
will draw up plans for the 1981 season®
Arrangements will need to be made' tc sign over any equipment
and assets pertaining to Recreation Soccer, totthe Bcwmanville
United Soccer Club.
A letter has been sent tc the Town of Newcastle Treasurers
Department requesting a grant for expenses for the 19CI season.
Further infcrmaticn will be sent tc you, when the club has
more details of its plans for 1981®

- eighteen - Kinsmen Rovers on front - maroon body - white trim
- seventeen - maroon body - white trim - Market Plan
- twenty sweaters - red trim - blue body - Pankhurst Security Ltd.
