THE ORONO ARENA COMMUNITY CENTER BOARD
January 7, 2409

CALL TO ORDER: by chair at 7:434 pm
Moved by Gord Lowery seconded by Laverne Boyd that we accept the
agenda as distributed.

The minutes were read:
Moved by John Witheridge seconded by Gord Lowery that the minutes
were accepted as corrected.
Passed
Laverne Boyd presented the audited report of the G.A.A.A. for 2007. He
also presented a new financial report. The report showed a balance of
$ 71 357.141. It was noted by all members how clear and well prepared the
report was.
Moved by Laverne Boyd seconded by Gord Lowery that the reports be
accepted.
Passed
CORRESPONDENCE: A letter from a parent of a London player John
Periversoff.
The letter was accepted into the minutes.
BUSINESS ARISING: The actions sheets were reviewed and revised to
show the work that has been done and returned to the minutes.
NEW BUSINESS:
A suggestion to seek grants for a new ice illumination system was suggested
to the O.A.A.A.
Next meeting is scheduled for April 7, 2009 at 7:00 pm

Arena Committee: P Rosseau reported the foliowing:
I. Ballasts for fluorescents were changed
2. Bar door was replaced and door at north end of arena was repaired
3. Ceiling tiles will be replaced when town fixes roof of arena. Tentative date for
completion of roof is June/July 09
4. Need to look at replacing 2 goal nets(nets& posts)
5. B Finney requesting community hours
6. D Benedict getting prices for a large locker for the equipment room
7. Plaques coming this week for sponsors
8. Need volunteers to paint ice before playoffs. Times to be co-ordinated with Peter.
