THE CORPORATION OF THE MUNCIIPALlTY OF CLARINGTON
By-Law 2003 -155
Being a by-law to amend By-law 2002-045, a by-law to establish a
Board of Management to operate museums on its behalf-
Clarington Museum Board
WHEREAS in accordance with Section 58 of the Municipal Act, R.S.O. 1990,
c.M.45, as amended, the Council of the Corporation of the Municipality of
Clarington passed By-law 2002-045 on April 29, 2002 to establish a Board of
Management to operate museums on its behalf, referred to as the Clarington
Museum Board;
AND WHEREAS at a meeting held on October 20,2003, the Council of the
Corporation of the Municipality of Clarington has adopted the recommendations
contained in Museum Administrator's Report No. 2003-A-0802;
NOW THEREFORE the Council of the Corporation of the Municipality of
Clarington Hereby Enacts as follows:
1. That By-law 2002-045 be amended by changing all references to the
Clarington Museum Board to read "Clarington Museums and Archives
Board" .
2. That By-law 2002-045 be amended by changing all references to the
Clarington Museum - Bowmanville Branch to read "Clarington Museums
and Archives - Bowmanville Branch".
3. That By-law 2002-045 be amended by changing all references to the
Clarington Museum - Clarke Branch to read "Clarington Museums and
Archives - Clarke Branch".
4. That By-law 2002-045 be amended by deleting Section 9. c) i) and
replacing it with the following:
"9. c) i) With the exception of a pool of six part-time Tour Guides to meet
holiday and weekend schedules, no person shall be employed as
a full or port time officer or employee other than a student
employee unless his or her employment is first approved by
Council."
By-law read a first and second time this 20th day of October 2003.
By-law read a third time and finally passed this 20th day of October 2003.
