'CERTIFICATE OF ACCEPTANCE'
ROADWAYS AND STORM SEWER SYSTEM
RECOMMENDATIONS:
It is respectfully recommended that the General Purpose and Administration
Committee recommend to Council the following:
1. THAT Report WD-64-89 be received; and
2. THAT the Director of Public Works be authorized to issue a 'Certificate of
Acceptance' for the storm sewers, roads and other related works within Plan
1OM-756.

2. BACKGROUND
2.1 The Town entered into a subdivision agreement on May 14, 1984 with
Kiddicorp Investments Limited and Rorero Limited to develop lands by plan
of subdivision, located in Courtice and described as Plan 1OM-756
(see Attachment No.l) . The agreement required Kiddicorp to construct
a storm sewer system, roads, including hot-mix paving, curb and gutters,
sodding of boulevards, sidewalks and tree planting.

2.2 on December I' I986, a 'Certificate of Completion' was issued and the works
were planed on a two year maintenance period. The two year maintenance
period expired on December I, I988' the works have been inspected and have
been found to be satisfactory.
2.3 It is now appropriate to issue a "Certificate of &ooeDtaune" of the works
thereby accepting ownership of the roads and services. The subdivision �

agreement provides for this certificate to be issued by the Director of
Public works, subject to the approval of Council.

other related works within Plan 1OM-756. /
