Attention: Brian P. Irwin
Dear Sir:
TRA-RR14-COL
The Region of Durham has reviewed the parking situation on
Regional Road 14 (Liberty Street) in the area of the Registry
Office.
The Registry Office, located at 108 Liberty Street North, has 13
on-site parking spaces. In addition to the on-site parking, the
boulevard on the west side of Liberty Street has a paved area
which can acca,—nodate an additional four to five vehicles.
There is a convenience store on the east side of Liberty Street
in this area, which generates short ter„ curb side parking.
However, Liberty Street is of sufficient width to accommodate the
parking without interfering with the roadway capacity.
A review of the reported collision data on Liherty Street ,
between Lovers Lane and Concession Street , over a three year
period does not indicate a problem with permitted parking in this
area.
The Region has not received a report on the accident involving
Mr. Morris referred to in your letter.
Yours ?:rely,
AL/ps fic!iiillen
