HOLLAND PLAN 1OM-757, 1OM-759 AND 1OM-769 'CERTIFICATE OF ACCEPTANCE' ROADWAYS AND STORM SEWER SYSTEM RECOMMENDATIONS: It is respectfully recommended that the General Purpose and Administration Committee recommend to Council the following: 1. THAT Report WD-44-89 be received; and 2 THAT the Director of Public Works provide Walter Schleiss and Raymond D. Holland 'Certificate of Acceptance' for the storm sewer system and the roadways within Plan 1OM-757, 1OM-759 and 1OM-769. -----------------------------------------------------------------------® REPORT 1.0 BACKGROUND 1.1 The Town entered into a subdivision agreement on August 10, 1984 with 'Walter Schleiss and Raymond D. Holland' to develop lands by plan of subdivision, located in Courtice and described as Plan 1OM-757, 1OM-759 and 1OM-769 (see Attachment No.l) . 1.2 The construction of the storm sewer system and all road works including surface asphalt, curb and gutter, boulevard sodding, sidewalks and street trees has been completed in a manner satisfactory to the 'Town. . . .2 10 10 ' . REPORT 0O.: WD-44-89 PAGE 2 ________________________________________________________________________________ I~3 These Works were inspected and 5nmzd to be constructed satisfactorily and a "Certificate of Completion' dated November 4, 1986 was issued as noted in Report WD-25-89. 1°4 The completed Works were placed on maintenance as specified in the subdivision agreement. 1.5 The maintenance period expired on November 4, 1988 and Town Staff reinspected these Works and found them to be satisfactory. . 1.6 It is now appropriate that that Town accepts ownership of these Wbcko' since the developer has met all of his obligations with respect to these Works as outlined in the subdivision agreement. 1.7 In order for the Tbwo to formally accept these WUzka' the agreement requires the issuance of a 'Certificate of Acceptance' . 1.8 The Director of Public Works is responsible for the issuance of a 'Certificate of Acceptance' provided that Tuwu OmmuolI approves the report of the Director that all such Works have been properly nwuotcmmted and maintained for the duration of the maintenance period. 1"9 Since the works have been maintained in a manner satisfactory to the Director of Public Works (refer to Section I.5) v it is now appropriate to provide the developer with a 'Certificate of Acceptance' for these Works. 2.0 RECOMENDATION 2^1 It is, therefore, recommended that Council approve this report, thereby authorizing the Director of Public Works to issue a 'Certificate of Acceptance' for the final stage of road construction and subsequently accepting the ovonecobiD of these Works. . ."3 l /] 1l REPORT NO.: WD-44-89 PAGE 3 -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Respectfully submitted, Recommended for presentation to the Committee, Walter A.
